Tixel is an exciting new facial rejuvenation device which uses thermo-mechanical ablative technology to resurface, tighten and rejuvenate the skin. It is safe for all skin types, all facial and body areas, and delivers similar results to a fractional CO2 laser without the pain, downtime and risks.

How does tixel work?

Tixel, also known as Mezotix, is an exciting new facial rejuvenation device which uses thermo-mechanical ablative technology (TMA technology) to resurface, tighten and rejuvenate the skin.
The titanium tip has 81 tiny pyramid-shaped spikes that are heated to 400 degrees celsius within a handpiece. This tip is pressed momentarily onto the skin in a highly accurate and systematic mechanical application. Adjustments are made to the depth of penetration into the skin and the time duration that the tip is in contact with the skin, allowing individualised treatment outcomes.

What Areas Of The Body Can Be Treated?

Tixel is safe to use on all areas of the body including face, neck, chest and hands, wherever there are skin concerns. In particular, the most common conditions we correct are:
Saggy/excess upper and lower eyelid skin
Under eye dark circles
Crow’s feet and wrinkles
Brow droop (ptosis)
Crepey skin
Scars

Who is NOT suited to Tixel Treatment?

If you are pregnant
If you have recently tanned your skin – we recommend you wait 4 weeks
If you have recently had injectable fillers or threads – we recommend that you wait 4 weeks
If you have recently had injectable muscle-relaxant treatments – we recommend you wait 1 week

How Many Treatments are Required?

Most of our patients will see results after just one treatment, but we recommended a course of 3-6 treatments spaced 4-6 weeks apart to achieve lasting improvement in skin texture and tone. As every patient will have different skin goals, the exact number of treatments that will be best for you will be discussed with one of our Skin Therapists in a complimentary consultation.

What Can I expect after Tixel Treatment?

Treatments will take 30—60 minutes.
There are some normal skin responses that you can expect after having a session with Tixel and these will depend upon the intensity of the settings selected, which will have been discussed with you prior to the treatment. There will be a sensation of heat, similar to sunburn, which will settle in 1-6 hours and redness which may last 1-3 days.
Occasionally fine micro-crusts can be visible after your Tixel treatment lasting up to 3-5 days.
Synergie Mineral Make-up may be used the day after treatment.

What is the best Aftercare?

Having undergone such an effective and innovative treatment, it is important that you use the most effective skin products to enhance your results and their staying power!
You will be prescribed Synergie Super Serum to apply regularly post-treatment. This anti-ageing concentrate is packed with powerful skin rejuvenating peptides and marine bioferments.
Super Serum triggers the skin cells to produce its own:
Collagen
Hyaluronic Acid
Muscle Relaxants
Epidermal Stem Cells
Synergie Mineral Make-up may be applied the following day and is also recommended for it’s effective physical sun protection qualities.

I highly recommend the Mezotix treatment. My skin was showing evidence of raised aged spots and multiple fine lines prior to the treatment . After just one session my skin had vastly improved. So much so that people were commenting and asking if I had had “something done”. The raised spots were definitely less defined and my skin was so much plumper that most of the fine lines had disappeared. I am very pleased with the treatment after only 1 session and can not wait to see what kind of results will be visible after any subsequent treatments. If anyone is wondering about “downtime”, wonder no more. There was no redness or peeling, the only side effect I can report is slight puffiness around my eyes but once this had receded , it actually filled out the lines. I cannot recommend this treatment highly enough.
