What Is a Tixel Treatment?
Tixel is a revolutionary, non-laser technology that leaves your skin looking more youthful, tightened and rejuvenated while reducing the appearance of imperfections including acne, pigmentation, fine lines and scarring. It is considered the most effective non-surgical treatments for sagging eyelids.
Tixel uses a gentle rotating handpiece to momentarily press onto the skin at different levels of penetration that are customised to the results you want to see. As it’s not a laser, it can be safely used on even the finest areas of skin like the eyelids, and is safe and suitable for all skin types.

Tixel FAQs
Tixel is a non-ablative fractional skin rejuvenation system. It applies pure heat, at 400 degrees, to the skin’s surface via a diamond patterned titanium tip.
Tixel can be used safely on all skin types and as a spot treatment to one area of the face or full face depending on the results you are after.
It is not suitable, however, for women who are pregnant, those that have tanned their skin within the last four weeks, those that have had fillers or threads within the last four weeks, or if you have had injectable muscle-relaxant treatments within the past week.
Most of our patients will see results after just one treatment. Our recommended course to obtain the best outcomes is to complete 3-6 treatments spaced 4-6 weeks apart to achieve lasting improvement in skin texture and tone. Your dermal therapist will discuss the number of treatments you need at your initial consultation, based on your skin goals.
Your treatment will take approximately 30 minutes. If numbing is required, we allow an extra 30 mins for the application of anaesthetic cream. Your skin is cleansed prior to the Tixel treatment You are likely to feel warming sensations throughout the treatment, and these expectations will be discussed with you prior to your treatment.
A sunburn-like sensation and some redness may occur 1 – 6 hours after your treatment, and this may last 1 – 3 days. Occasionally, fine micro-crusts may be visible after your Tixel treatment, lasting up to 3 – 5 days. Synergie Mineral Make-up may be used the day after treatment.

You will be prescribed Synergie Super Serum to apply regularly post-treatment. This anti-ageing concentrate is packed with powerful skin rejuvenating peptides and marine bioferments.

The recovery with Tixel is much faster than alternative laser methods. Usually, you can expect minor redness to last one to three days. The Tixel treatment can be a light or deep treatment depending on your skin condition and desired outcome. A light treatment may only have a downtime of one day and a deep treatment may have redness and fine crusting that lasts for a week. It will be your decision whether you want to take time off work during these days.
