Consultation
At your consultation, one of our highly experienced Registered Cosmetic Nurses will assess your facial features and advise you on the most suitable treatment plan. Procedure
The filler injections are administered to the tear trough region, and the treatment takes between 30-45 minutes. Our Registered Cosmetic Nurses are very skilled in the most effective techniques for this procedure, and we approach this area very cautiously, as it is very easy to over-fill the area. We prefer to do small amounts and under treat the area, though this may require 2-3 treatments to achieve optimal results.
We only use premium fillers containing a local anaesthetic, in addition to preparing the treatment area with a numbing cream where required.
Results and Recovery
The tear trough area has very thin and delicate skin and should be taken care of following treatment. You will be advised on how to best care for your skin post-procedure at your initial consultation. The results can be seen immediately and when done skillfully, can last up to 18 months.
Most people have no downtime, but there is always the risk that you may experience some minor redness, swelling or bruising around the injection site. Even though there is no downtime required after the procedure, we highly recommend that you avoid excessive physical activity for at least 48 hours after treatment.
